Current Projects
- On Wednesday, 5 February, SFS will be having a bake sale to raise funds for the family of Frankie Allen, a young local woman who passed away in a tragic fire late Friday evening. Accepting cash, credit, or check.
- On Wednesday, 19 February, SFS will be hosting Thomas Storck, lecturing on the moral failure of the free market ideology and its equivocation with true capitalism. See more here.
- We meet for study and general business on Mondays at 8:30 P.M. in the Student Government Lounge of the JC Williams Center (next to the Gentile Gallery).
- Encouraging students to use the USCCB's Citizenship Guide as opposed to other less comprehensive materials, such as those put out by Catholic Answers, Priests for Life, or National Right to Life Committee.
- We hope to finish writing the Students for a Fair Society Manifesto. We intend on obtaining an Imprimatur from the Bishop of Steubenville.
- We blog in order to spread the Church's Consistent-Life Ethic within the University and online community.
- We march with local community members and organizers through the violence-stricken streets of Steubenville, Ohio, preaching the simple and necessary message of solidarity, peace, and love.
- Addressing City and community leaders in regards to the noted and potential risks involved in fracking.
